The Nature Conservancy’s EDRR program
The Nature Conservancy in Oregon’s EDRR Program aims to improve the
Early Detection and Rapid Response to invasive species. We work with Watershed
Councils, Cooperative Weed Management Areas and other organizations and
agencies to develop model EDRR programs across Oregon and train “invasives-watch”
volunteers to look for and report new invaders. The map on the right shows
model EDRR programs in Oregon developed as part of this program. On this
page you find species lists, fact sheets, and other program resources
that could be useful to volunteers, or starting up your own program!
Become an “Invasives-watch” volunteer and help prevent the spread of invasive species while you hike, garden, boat, or fish! Or, adopt an area near you that is in need of invasive species monitoring. Click on the map above to find out the nearest EDRR program near you!
