This is my first post. I have recently been assigned to identify and document invasive species on tribal land holdings. I expect this forum to be a great resource for the identification of unfamiliar invasives. To kick things off I thought I'd post one of the first plants that stumped me.
I found this interesting flower in a vacant lot in Coos Bay, Oregon (5/22/08). I am pretty sure its Purple Salsify (Tragopogon porrifolius) and it has been noted as being somewhat invasive in the link below.

Its probably not noxious. About a dozen plants were noted but seems localized to this one site.
